So we found out that our little bundle of joy is a ....................drum roll please..................... It's a BOY!! ha ha, I know that we are all shocked! I totally thought that we were gonna have a girl. Colby swore that it was a boy but I thought he just wanted to argue with me! He had a dream way back when I was first pregnant and told me that it was a boy, but I didn't believe him. I told him that I would know because I have the motherly instinct. ha ha! But a week before we went to find out, I had a dream that I was holding this cute little baby boy and someone asked me who's he was. I told them that he was my sisters, and then my sister turned to me and was like, " Amanda, he is yours" like HELLO you retard you don't remember giving birth to him and I was like, .. no way I had a girl:) it was a funny dream. So I guess I always knew deep down that our little baby was a boy!

We had been wanting to find out forever and finally went to down to fetal studio in south town mall! I was so nervous and the baby was being stubborn keeping the goods hidden but we finally got a peek and there it was our little girl has boy parts!! ha ha! I am not gonna lie I was kind of bummed but I am so excited now! Our little boy is gonna be such a stud and I can' t wait to meet him! Let me know if you have any cute baby boy names. I am having a tough time.

Santa came to town!

Christmas this year was amazing! I loved waking up and being in my own house and just relaxing and opening Christmas presents with my Hubby! Colby was so cute he woke up early on Christmas and made sure that my stocking was put together before I got up! Then we took turns opening presents. Colby got me an Ipod and an exercise ball and DVD that I had been wanting since I am a huge whale! He also got me some clothes, perfume, Horton Hears a Who, a coloring book and crayons! ha ha and some of my favorite candy for my stocking! Then he surprised me with a little funny poem that he wrote to tell me that we were going to go on a little vacation to California!!! I am so excited to get away especially from the Snow! I got Colby a poker game that he can take with him when he works out of town. The dark knight, some cologne, American Idol for the XBox so he can practice is singing skills:) and a poker table complete with a poker night with the boys with treats and drinks provided wife FREE!!! ha ha that was his favorite part:)

Colby also got us a pretty sweet crib for the baby! I am excited to get it painted and put together the nursery!!

After opening presents we ate some Cinnamon rolls, played a little American Idol and got ready to go see our parents!! My dad cooked prime rib for X mas lunch and we had another feast!! We hung out there for a while and then went to Colby's moms and had ham and rolls and some good stuff there. So pretty much all we did was eat and sit and chat! It was a great Day

Christmas parties!

So it just so happened that this year both are family Christmas parties fell on the same day Dec 21st. My family had ours at 2:00 and Colby's moms was at 5:30 so it was a pretty crazy day! Colby got back from Wyo the night before and was so sinkin tired we went to my moms party and ate some amazing food and got stuffed to the point of no return and then we hung out for a about 15 min and went to lay down for a sec. The next thing we knew it was 5:30 and we were not only late for Colby's moms party but we had basically slept through my moms entire party! WOW did I feel like a jack 'A'! ha ha. I mean I can fall asleep at any given moment (especially now) but Colby never does that! For the part that I was awake I had fun and my mom had everything decorated so good and festive!

Colby's moms was fun too. We had a ginger bread house contest and although ours was horrible I think that we took the cake for the most creative toppings :) Colby decided that we couldn't be like everyone else and use the candy that came with the house! So he found cheese wiz and raisins and went to town! It was pretty gross and by the end of the night it really stunk like POO! like the Stinky Cheese house! Then we opened presents we drew names and me Chad and Carolyn had me and Colby, they gave us a kone dirt devil! I was so excited cause I had really been wanting one and it sure does come in handy to clean up messes! Thanks guys! SO all in all it was a successful night (minus the napping)!

Merry Freakin Christmas!

I can't believe that it is almost Christmas! Holy cow where did the year go?! Time really does fly when you're havin fun. It is so much fun this year to decorate our own house and have our own Christmas tree. I can't wait to wake up and open presents with my cute husband on Christmas morning. Last year I remember having to drive to Colbys house early in the morning in a snow storm to give him his presents. I slid off the road and was inches from sliding into a ditch, I had to get out in my slippers and PJ's and dig the snow away from the tires to get out! ha ha it is funny now but I was not a happy camper when I arrived to Colbys. But as always Colby made me laugh and I got over it fast. Then he spoiled me rotten and got me our Pug Meatball!! It was a great X-mas and I know this one is gonna be just as good! I am actually done Christmas shopping as of 2 days ago and I even managed to get Colby some suprises this year! I love Christmas and am so grateful for the gospel and the birth of our Savior! I hope we all remember the true meaning of Christmas this year!

I Hate Mondays!

So, I truly truly hate Mondays! I wake up most Sundays already starting to dread Monday morning, ( i know I need to adjust my attitude) but this week it was even worse. Colby was going out of town again this week to work in Wyo. AGAIN, and because of the bad weather he was going to leave Sunday afternoon instead of Monday morning to avoid the slick roads. He left at like almost 4 and expected to get up there around 7 work for a few hours and go to bed. Nothing went as planned. He didn't get up there until about 9:30. his truck was chuck full of paint and so after unloading it he was just going to go to bed. He had all stuff in a condo that he had stayed in the last time he was up there so he only had to bring a pad for the air mattress that he had. The only problem was that while he was home for the weekend somebody changed the locks to the condos and failed to mention it or leave a key. It was like -3 degrees in Green River and there Colby was with nowhere to sleep. He waited until about 10:30 for someone to try to find an extra key to let him in. But no such luck! So instead of going to a Hotel My husband does the stupidest thing that I can think of (and I mean that in the nicest way)! he decides to sleep on the mattress pad that he had brought on the floor of an unfinshed condo instead of paying $50 bucks for a hotel! He had no blankets or pillows mind you and it is winter duh! Plus he didn't even eat dinner! I didn't sleep at all last night, I was so mad and sad and scared at the same time! Really who does that?! I love that Colby is such a hard worker, but he really crossed the line this time! Maybe it is my hormones but I am really mad. All night I pictured my poor husband freezing cold on the floor with no blankets while I was in more warm bed! I felt so bad. And that is why I hate Mondays more that usual! Why are men so prideful and Stubborn?!

Baby Lemon

So our baby is now the size of a lemon (so I am told) but I feel like a whale so I am thinking more along the lines of at least a cantalope :) We have our second Drs apt this Friday and It is getting closer and closer to finding out if we are having a boy or a girl! I am so excited to find out and start decorating the nursery.

I am starting to get over the sickness and that is definitely a good thing. although my cravings have not! I can't get enough of salt and vinegar chips and fruit I could eat it all day long. i still love the blue Slurpee's but really can't stand sweets right now.... weird I know! I just can't believe that this time next year we will have a baby to celebrate Christmas with! I am so excited and scared to death. While Colby was gone this week I made the mistake of watching knocked up. I know, I know it is not such a clean show but it does have its funny parts. Except the whole delivery room part:( Which I found terrifying and not funny at all! After watching it was seriously freaking out about the actually delivery I even started crying and saying out loud, " I can't do it, I can't do it" in a very serious and panicked voice. ( yes I was alone which made it even better)! I had to call my sister the next day and have her lie to me and tell me that it is not that bad. She reassured me that once it actually comes time to deliver the baby you want it out so bad that you don't even care! I hope she is right! All I have to say is POOR COLBY and the DR!

Missing my Hubby

Warning.. May Be Cheesey!

Colby called me at work yesterday and told me that he had to leave out of town for the week for work :( I was really bummed about it cause he is gonna be gone all week (this is the longest we have been apart since we have been married and it sucks). But when I came home from work he had bought me a little present a people magazine and some Flipz chocolate covered pretzels!! I know to some people this present is really NOT cool. But Colby HATES people magazine and all the celebrity gossip. We have had numerous fights over me buying the magazine and watching the filth on E! ha ha. So I think that it is so sweet:) I love the little things like that that Colby does to let me know that he loves me! And although I hate it when he leaves to work out of town it makes me appreciate those things even more when he is not around. Love you Colby and I will miss you every second that you are gone!

Happy Thanksgiving

This Thanksgiving we had a fantastic dinner at Colby's moms! It was a ton of fun and the food was amazing especially the Stuffing, I love the stuffing from the Turkey. Unfortunatley I only ate one plate! I wish I could of had more but my stomache wouldn't allow it. After we ate we all just relaxed for a while and then played card games. I wish I would have took some pics but sometimes I am a moron! Here are some things that I was thankful for this year. 1 of course my handsome, hardworking hubby! 2. Family 3. This baby growing in my belly (even if it made me sick on Thanksgiving) 4. The Gospel 5. My friends 6. The fact that I have food and shelter and the little things that we take for granted everyday

Family Picture Time!

We have been trying to get a family picture taken all fall and we thought that since it was the end of November we were pretty much doomed, but since the weather has still been so nice we finally all got together to take one. We didn't have a family pic with Colby or Cooper so we really needed one. I am glad that we did it but I am so glad that it is over!

My mom decided that she could take them..... and be in them! ha ha, what a joke! Setting everyone up and having them stay put was quite the struggle and I think that Derek was worse than the kids pulling faces and being a total moron! ha ha, But they turned out pretty good I guess. I don't think you can really tell that we were all screaming at eachother in between takes! I just Love my disfunctional famiy:)

Spoiled!

Well my some huge holiday miracle we were able so sell my audi. For anyone that knows about this car you know the trouble that it has caused me over the years! We put it on KSL just to see what would happen and sure evough we had a guy call like 2 days later. He came to see it, saw all the dents and scratches, even pulled a carfax report (so he knew it had been wrecked 3 times in 4 years) and it he still wanted the darn thing so we were more than happy to let him have it. Plus with a baby on the way we wanted someithing a little bigger and safer.

We got Colby a work truck and went looking for a a vehicle for me to drive. Colby had to trade in his Tacoma (which he loved) and I got spoiled! After looking at a 4runner I came home from work Wed to discover it in my garage :)! I am so thankful for such a wonderful husband who works so hard so that we can have nice things I wish that I was in a position to give him everything that he wants because he sure deserves it! I love you Colby and someday I promise you will have a nice lifted truck! Cross my heart :)

First Photo :)

So I had my first Dr apt on Friday and we got a glimpse of our little baby! It was the weirdest thing to actually see that I have a baby growing inside my belly! I mean you take a pregnancy test and it says positive.... which is scary enough but it doesn't acually hit you until you see a picture. It makes all the sickness worth it to know that there is really a baby in there. I also found out that I am 91/2 weeks instead of only 8 which doesn't seem like alot but I will take what I can get! Everyone has been tellin me that my baby is gonnna be a little blue smurf because for some reason I have had an addiction to blue slurpees!! I swear that they have healing powers :)

So after all the fun good news of seeing our baby for the first time the Dr tells me to go across the hall to give blood........don don don! I was freakin out and had to give like 5 viles of blood I only cried a little bit this time and Colby was good to distract me and hold my hand. ha ha I am such a baby. But I am gettin a little better, maybe by the time I go into labor I won't even cry gettin the IV. But I wouldn't count on it!!

HALLOWEEN

So this year for Halloween my sister Karissa decided to join us. I made chicken noodle soup for dinner and pumpkin bread bowls! i know I know I am so festive:) we even had Sunkist to drink (because it is orange) ha ha. After we ate dinner we carved our pumpkins I had the best pumpkin this year it was the perfect size and perfectly round I was so excited to carve it but as soon as I started my ADD kicked in and I had to take a break every 5 min, So it took forever. Colby ended up finidhing mine cause he is way more patient and knows that I suck! Plus he broke the little saw that came with the kit so there was no way thatI was gonna be able to cut out the little pieces that were left. Colby is amazing at everything that he does it makes me so mad causeI try and he doesn't even have to! Karissa ended up cutting her entire picture out by mistake so we had to put it back togethere with toothpicks. It was kind of funny! But they all turned out pretty good. I love lighting them and putting them on the porch! After that we watched "The Strangers" if you haven't seen this movie you should it is the the best scary movie! Colby fell asleep (don't ask me how?). and Karissa and I were screamin on the couch by ourselves cuddling while Colby slept soundly through the whole movie. It was quite the sight! But even though we kind of had a lazy Halloween it was a good one and I wouldn't have had it any other way. Oh I almost forgot that Meatball got to dress up like a ladybug and she actually liked wearing her costume! ha ha I know we are nerds for dressing up our dog but until we have our baby to dress up then why the heck not!!

Scream Asylum

Even though I am a freakin scardy cat and so is Colby ha ha :) we decided that because it was Halloween we needed to go to a haunted house. We went last year with Cal and Haylee to a really really scary one in Salt Lake and I wanted to die I was clinging to Colby the entire time and at one point they actually made us lay down in these coffins.... I was freaking out and sat there arguing with the guy for like 10 min refusing to let go of Colby (pathetic I know) after that haunted house I swore I would never go again. But here we are a year later and feelin the need to freak ourselves out :) We had heard The Scream Asylum advertised on the radio all the time and were excited to go. I am gonna tell you right now it was not worth it at all, you basically pay $1 a minute because it is so short and not even scary! Cal and Haylee are hardcore with haunted houses so they were disapointed too. But all in all it was fun to go with them for Halloween! We have kind of made it a tradition but they never want to get pictures with us!! how rude, ha ha

MOOSE

So Colby's dad really lucked out this year hunting and got the once in a lifetime opportunity to get a moose tag. This I learned is a huge deal because you only get one moose tag and some people never draw out for one at all. So Colby was really excited and went with his dad a few times but they never saw one single thing. But Gary was determined to get one and went out one morning by himself and low and belhold his prayers were answered. Colby was a little mad that he couldn't have been there with him when he finally got it but was really excited!! he is going to make it into a full moose rug! haha, I think it is so cool and cant wait to see the rug. It's so funny how guys get so excited about killin things :)

David Spade

On October 3rd I planned a little trip for Colby because he had been working so hard. It was meant to be a suprise but the little butt was checkin up on me and looked at my bank account and saw that I had bought tickets to David Spade. He was coming to Wendover and since Colby is obsessed with gambling I thought that It woudl be fun for us to go. I never really enjoyed going to comedy shows, prob because I don't like uncomfortable silence and I get embarrassed for other people, when they feel stupid I want to crawl in a hole and die! Its weird I know!! But we saw Howie Mandel in Vegas last Valentines day and It was so fun, and hilarious! But David Spade was even better, he was so freakin funny not even kidding I loved it. He did a little bit of Joe Dirt and the famous "House Keeping" from Tommy Boy (so funny)! And it didn't help that the lady next to me laughed at everything and repeated everything that he said to her friends! what a weirdo. The best part had to be that after the show we were already down by $80 playing the stupid slots and somehow Colby turned into like an amazing psychic really... He played roulette and hit the number like a trillion times. Then we played black jack until 2:30 am by then we were up about $500 and I was fallin asleep at the tables so Colby walked me up to our room and asked if I would be mad if he went back down for a while. I thought he was kidding but he was like a kid in a candy store! So Like I could tell him he couldn't go :) I gave him $50 bucks and told him to come back when he lost it expecting him to come back soon! I heard the door open around 5:00am and He was a zombie with a per ma grin on his face! The first thing he said is that he won $300 more! I didn't believe him and then he threw all the money on the bed! over $800!! I was amazed, he said for some reason he just couldn't lose!! Geez I just love trips like that it almost makes up for all the money we usually lose!

My Manly Man!!

Colby went up to Wyoming hunting with his dad. He left around 3:3o in the morning and by 11:00 he had got this beauty! He was so excited, and I was proud of him. Even though it is kind of sad! He was clear up on top of the mountain so it would have been impossible for him to carry the entire thing to the truck so he truly was a mountain man and cut off all the meat put it in a backpack and carried the head down to the truck. He even found the bullet and brought it home. Just what I always wanted!! ha ha. Good Job Toots!

Alpine Slide

I just love fall, its my favorite time of year. I love the colors and everything about it. I had been begging Colby to take me up to the Alpine Slide for about a month and he finally gave in!! We went up and did a little shopping at the outlets. They had some pretty good deals on hoodies and stuff, Colby got a few things but I couldn't really find anything that I wanted. After that we went to Baja Cantina if you have never been there then you need to go, I used to go with my family at least once a year but now they are party poopers so I decided to keep the tradition going. They have really good Mexican food. We decided to have the nachos, they were huge and way yummy! after that we rode the lift up to go down the Alpine slide. The view was so pretty and I loved it. Thanks again for takin me colby it made my life! ha ha, love you!

By the way, I beat Colby by a mile on the Alpine Slide!

Our House

So a few months ago Colby and I moved into a house! The lady that owned it before us was a really crazy lady and painted murals all over the walls! Her and her husband tried to do everything themselves and they pretty much sucked at it to put it nicely:)so its a good thing that I married such a hot handy man!! The inside is still a work in progress so no pics yet but the grass finally grew back in (most of it) and Colby painted the Stucco around the windows. It used to be a sage green color it was not Cute! All in all I think that the house is comin along! I am so grateful for Colby and all his hard work! He is the best husband ever!

The FAIR!

So Colby loves the Fair.. Mainly because he loves the food!! We were determined to go this year because last year I was in no condition to even walk let alone go to the fair. I was kind of excited because I hadn't been a few years. I remember them having good concerts likes Dierks Bentley but I was disapointed to find out that this was not the case this year!! I had no idea who any of the people were (maybe I am just gettin old) It was fun though we met Cal and Haylee up there and got to see Cals chickens that he had entered... They actually took 2nd place and we were very impresssed! caL rode the Machanical Bull too! Which was sure entertaining to watch. After that We rode the Big yellow Slide and got a famous fried PB and J!! This was actaully pretty good but I swear that I could actually feel myself getting fatter as I ate it!! ha ha. All in all It was a great night out despite the wind!

Vegas

On September 19th we took a trip to Vegas for the weekend. It was really fun to go and get away. We stayed at a nice little condo a little off the strip wich was nice for a change and plus it was really cozy. I only took some pics of the condo as we were leavin cause I hate askin people in Vegas to take pics. I am always afraid they are gonna run off with my camera!! But we had a lot of fun walkin the strip shoppin and of course eating. We went to this really nice restraunt in Planet Hollywood called Pampas. Its kind of like Rodizio grill but WAY better. the meat was so good plus they had seafood too which I loved, bacon wrapped around shrimp!! need I say more!! We ate until we thought we would puke!! ha ha. After that we went and watched a comedy show. It was a pretty small little place and we had never heard of the comedians but it turned out to be a blast and it was way funny. KT Tatara was one that was there and he was so funny, you should look up some of his stuff on you tube, it was so much fun!

Fishing

This weekend we decided stop working on our house and get out
and do something fun, since summer is just about over and we
have not done anything but work on our house nonstop. We have

not even gone CAMPING! I am so sad. We got up early and took
The little fishing boat out to Strawberry. It was freezing cold at

first but we brought lots of blankets and treats and just snuggled
up. It was really fun and relaxing and I actually caught a fish too!

Normally I sit there and watch Colby catch fish after fish and rub

it in! But it was nice for a change to actually fish and catch something I did everything all by myself; even baiting the hook! (gross!) Colby used to do it for me when we were dating but when we got out there he handed me my pole and told me to suck it up! Ha ha! Oh how men change after marriage! Jk, I love him and I know I could have done it before but you know I have to take advantage of being pampered!

The best part was that after after I caught my fish I kept catching crawdads! Normally this is not to much fun but because we took Meatball she kept us entertained. She kept trying to eat it until one actually snapped at her and caught her lip! It was so funny. After that we tortured her for a while trying to have it happen again and again! We had fun but I don't think Meatball was very happy!

May 15th, 2008
The day was amazing and everything was relax and smooth which is quite the accomplishment if you know my family!! I owe alot of that to my moms patience with me that day. She had it set in her mind that she was gonna have it be a great day no matter what. so she ignored my snotty remarks about how bad I hated my make-up and the fact that she hired someone to do it for me!! (Sorry mom I know you were trying to be nice)! Thanks for all your hard work to give me such an amazing day! Also Jobi Niu one of my best friends from High school was one of my bridesmaids. She did my hair and calmed me down when I got the jitters! She's the best and did an amazing job!
I wish I could get married to Colby once a week at least it was so much fun and I loved every second of it. The best part was just knowing that I was actually his wife now. I couldn't believe it, its a feeliing that you can never explain! I love colby so much and I know that he is the PERFECT person for me to spend forever with!

Some of our Engagements

I love egagment pics they always look so fun and so lovey dovey, and everything just seems perfect! Which is true; but when we went to take our engagment pics I found out that sometimes more goes on then you might think. SO I thought I would write the behind the scenes version to give everyone a laugh!
Everyone that knows me and Colby knows that we were engaged for 8 whole months. to most people you think, wow that is pleny of time to plan a wedding and for most people it would be. But if anyone knows me that pretty much know that we didn't actually start planning the wedding until about 30 days before the big day. (no suprise Right?!) well needless to say we were forced into taking our engagments on an extremley cold day last minute. I called Colby up after telling him earlier that day that we were prob not going to take them due to weather. That was no big deal beacause neither one of us wanted to take them that day especially not me I am a huge wimp when it comes to being cold and I tend to not be very nice. Nobody wants to try to take engagements that way believe me. So after somehow finally getting talked into taking them anyway. (by my persuasive mother) I managed to get ready and find something to wear. but in all my runnig around had failed to call my fiance (an extremley important part) to let him know that YES we were taking!! oops! Now Colby is extremley patient with me but sometimes I tend to do stupid things like the one just mentioned and I think that I push him to his limits. He never really gets mad he just gets really quiet; which sometimes makes me mad! ha ha! I knew that if this were to happen it would definatley put an damper on our picture taking. So I took some anxiety pills that I had found in the house and waited for him to come over thinking that this would make things run more smoothly! Little did I know that you are never supposed to take more than 1 ( I took 2) and never to take them on an empy stomache (which I also did)! I remember Colby coming to the door and feeling kind of light headed as I answered it. after that I realized this was not such a good idea! Not wanting to tell Colby what a moron I was for taking anxiety pills right before pictures I Just pretended Like everything was fine. I finally had some time to eat so I sat down and started to eat my Wendys chicken nuggets and I guess it kind of blew my cover. I don't really remember anything except Colby asking me why I was licking the Chicken nuggets!! I had no idea I was doing this and really thought that I was acting completley normal. I didn't really respond to his question so the next thing I know he is picking me up like a sack of potatoes and putting me onto the couch! He asked me why I was acting funny and told me that he was taking me to the emergency room. I finally managed to muster something about pills (which I think scared him half to death) and he yelled for my mom. After talking crazy about them having lots of eyeballs! and some weird things They finally figured out that I was fine and that I just needed a little nap! I woke up about 20 minutes later and felt amazingly rested and ready! We laughed our butts off and went and took our engagment pictures! It was definaltley not my finest hour but luckily we could laugh about it!

We Are Bloggers!

Well let's first start by saying that Colby just might kill me for making one of these. He hates that mostly everyone has one and wants to prove to everyone how Perfect their lives are (So do I)! But I promise that I will not make this a picture perfect BLOG!! anyone who knows me at least knows I am far from Perfect. (Colby is close though) I wanted to join the blogging world to keep track of all the little things. colby and I were talkin the other day and we want to make sure that we write things down. Because lets face it, The little things are the things that matter most! So Ithought what better way to keep a journal then to have a cute blog! So this will just be somewhat of a journal. Since I am horrible at keeping one! So those of you that know us, be patient cause I am gonna try to write some of the things from a while back. Hopefully I will get caught up soon! So This won't be so boring! If you don't know us.... Stop readin our blog! ha ha
