21 weeks

SO here I am 21 weeks prego and I sure am feeling it.. literally! It is so cool that I can finally feel our baby boy kicking me and squirming around in there! It feels so weird and amazing at the same time! I was over at my moms the other day and my little brother was walking up the stairs and saw me and just burst out laughing:) I guess my belly is looking more and more prego! ha ha o-well I am FAT! what do you do?!

I found out that our baby boy is as long as a carrot now, which is crazy. What else is crazy is that I keep having strange dreams. I read that when your pregnant that alot of women have vivid dreams about clouds and rainbows and bunnies etc. But I am having dreams of lizards attacking me, snakes squishing me and falling through ice!! What do you think that says about me?! Ha ha being pregnant is a trip!

Ladies Lunch

So after months and months of us girls trying to get together to go to lunch for the holidays we finally got together... Better late than never (kind of like this post) ha ha but what can you do?!
I am just glad that everyone was able to make it ( well almost everyone) we were missing Megan but hopefully next time! I just want all my girls to know that I loved seeing them and catching up. It was a much needed girls lunch filled with good food and juicy gossip! ha ha... we tried not to but lets be honest thats kind of what ends up happening! We need to get together more often for sure :)

2009!!

This New Years was pretty fun. Colby got home from working out of town and we were both so tired but knowing that next year we were gonna have a little boy to take care of we decided to not be party poopers and drive to Wendover! We got out there and as you can imagine it was packed! It was really fun though we ran into a few people from High School and gambled of course we lost all of our money and had to go to the ATM! ha ha but having faith in my husband I knew that he would win it back for us!! He did not disappoint!! ha ha, we paid for our trip and walked away winners! Here is a funny story....We were playing Black Jack for a while and this other couple was sitting at the table with us. They were not happy campers and her husband seemed really mean. We had just got a new dealer and I think he was a little nervous. The husband had a 20 and had turned his cards over (so he was staying). the dealer for some reason hit him anyway making him have 29! The guy was like what the 'H' and got all mad about it. the dealer asked his wife if she wanted a card. She said that she did... Then he looked around and was like.. "you want this card?! "He had an accent and you could tell that he wanted her to say Yes so bad! She shook her head like NO WAY and so he had to call over the Pit boss to fix it! I think that he had been messing up all night! I felt bad for him but It was way funny. You prob had to be there to really appreciate the story but me and Colby could not stop laughing! It made our night. well that plus I love how the casinos hand out noise makers and New years hats and then they have balloons and confetti fall from the ceilings at midnight :) its pretty sweet, but then again I am easily entertained!

My New Years Goals this year are to get completely out of debt! No more credit cards. They are evil! Be a better church member for sure. Learn how to cook good meals. get together with my friends more! Surprise Colby with nice things! Be a good mom! Get my house completely decorated. Try to be more crafty (is that a word)?! Oh and win the lottery!

So we found out that our little bundle of joy is a ....................drum roll please..................... It's a BOY!! ha ha, I know that we are all shocked! I totally thought that we were gonna have a girl. Colby swore that it was a boy but I thought he just wanted to argue with me! He had a dream way back when I was first pregnant and told me that it was a boy, but I didn't believe him. I told him that I would know because I have the motherly instinct. ha ha! But a week before we went to find out, I had a dream that I was holding this cute little baby boy and someone asked me who's he was. I told them that he was my sisters, and then my sister turned to me and was like, " Amanda, he is yours" like HELLO you retard you don't remember giving birth to him and I was like, .. no way I had a girl:) it was a funny dream. So I guess I always knew deep down that our little baby was a boy!

We had been wanting to find out forever and finally went to down to fetal studio in south town mall! I was so nervous and the baby was being stubborn keeping the goods hidden but we finally got a peek and there it was our little girl has boy parts!! ha ha! I am not gonna lie I was kind of bummed but I am so excited now! Our little boy is gonna be such a stud and I can' t wait to meet him! Let me know if you have any cute baby boy names. I am having a tough time.

Santa came to town!

Christmas this year was amazing! I loved waking up and being in my own house and just relaxing and opening Christmas presents with my Hubby! Colby was so cute he woke up early on Christmas and made sure that my stocking was put together before I got up! Then we took turns opening presents. Colby got me an Ipod and an exercise ball and DVD that I had been wanting since I am a huge whale! He also got me some clothes, perfume, Horton Hears a Who, a coloring book and crayons! ha ha and some of my favorite candy for my stocking! Then he surprised me with a little funny poem that he wrote to tell me that we were going to go on a little vacation to California!!! I am so excited to get away especially from the Snow! I got Colby a poker game that he can take with him when he works out of town. The dark knight, some cologne, American Idol for the XBox so he can practice is singing skills:) and a poker table complete with a poker night with the boys with treats and drinks provided wife FREE!!! ha ha that was his favorite part:)

Colby also got us a pretty sweet crib for the baby! I am excited to get it painted and put together the nursery!!

After opening presents we ate some Cinnamon rolls, played a little American Idol and got ready to go see our parents!! My dad cooked prime rib for X mas lunch and we had another feast!! We hung out there for a while and then went to Colby's moms and had ham and rolls and some good stuff there. So pretty much all we did was eat and sit and chat! It was a great Day

Christmas parties!

So it just so happened that this year both are family Christmas parties fell on the same day Dec 21st. My family had ours at 2:00 and Colby's moms was at 5:30 so it was a pretty crazy day! Colby got back from Wyo the night before and was so sinkin tired we went to my moms party and ate some amazing food and got stuffed to the point of no return and then we hung out for a about 15 min and went to lay down for a sec. The next thing we knew it was 5:30 and we were not only late for Colby's moms party but we had basically slept through my moms entire party! WOW did I feel like a jack 'A'! ha ha. I mean I can fall asleep at any given moment (especially now) but Colby never does that! For the part that I was awake I had fun and my mom had everything decorated so good and festive!

Colby's moms was fun too. We had a ginger bread house contest and although ours was horrible I think that we took the cake for the most creative toppings :) Colby decided that we couldn't be like everyone else and use the candy that came with the house! So he found cheese wiz and raisins and went to town! It was pretty gross and by the end of the night it really stunk like POO! like the Stinky Cheese house! Then we opened presents we drew names and me Chad and Carolyn had me and Colby, they gave us a kone dirt devil! I was so excited cause I had really been wanting one and it sure does come in handy to clean up messes! Thanks guys! SO all in all it was a successful night (minus the napping)!

Merry Freakin Christmas!

I can't believe that it is almost Christmas! Holy cow where did the year go?! Time really does fly when you're havin fun. It is so much fun this year to decorate our own house and have our own Christmas tree. I can't wait to wake up and open presents with my cute husband on Christmas morning. Last year I remember having to drive to Colbys house early in the morning in a snow storm to give him his presents. I slid off the road and was inches from sliding into a ditch, I had to get out in my slippers and PJ's and dig the snow away from the tires to get out! ha ha it is funny now but I was not a happy camper when I arrived to Colbys. But as always Colby made me laugh and I got over it fast. Then he spoiled me rotten and got me our Pug Meatball!! It was a great X-mas and I know this one is gonna be just as good! I am actually done Christmas shopping as of 2 days ago and I even managed to get Colby some suprises this year! I love Christmas and am so grateful for the gospel and the birth of our Savior! I hope we all remember the true meaning of Christmas this year!
