My B-day

SO it was my Birthday on the 7th and boy was it so weird to turn 25! I can't believe that I am that old! I still feel like I just graduated:) I look back at my Birthday the past year and so much has changed. I was in the middle of planning our wedding last year and was completely consumed with it. I never thought that in one short year I would be fat, happy and prego on my B day!! But I would not have it any other way!

i had a great B-day Colby and I went to the Cheesecake factory and went shopping while we waited. I actually found some maternity pants that were long enough for me and some other clothes that I desperately needed! He is so good to me:)

Then on Sunday we had dinner at my parents and my mom of course spoiled me rotten. It doesn't matter how old I turn she thinks I need a million presents and a party! ha ha... but we love her for it. She got me some more clothes and the crib bedding that I had been wanting to get! I was way excited.

Oh... and I made my own B-day Cake! I know I am no Betty Crocker and it was way easy but I thought it looked cool and I was proud of myself :)

Derek's 19th Birthday

Derek turned 19 on the 21st! i can't believe that he is that old! I also can't believe that I will be 25 in a few weeks!! Where has the time gone?! I don't feel that old!

Anyways we went to Chili's for Derek's birthday and then went to my parents house to open presents and have cake and ice cream. It was pretty fun! It was so weird cause Derek got some stuff for his mission... I think that I am still in denial that he is going to go... don't get me wrong, I know that it is the best thing for him to be doing, but I can't picture not being able to see him for 2 whole years...our family will not be the same without him that's for sure! V day in Vegas!

We decided since we are not going to have very many more spontaneous trips to Vegas after the baby comes that we would celebrate Valentines Day in Vegas with our friends Jonny and Lindsey! It was a good time despite that fact that we didn't come back on top like we normally do... but what are you gonna do about it?! The first night we were down there we just gambled and ate dinner. but for Valentines Day the boys took us shopping, we went to a nice dinner and saw Lance Burton the magician! It was pretty fun except those shows always make me so mad... I want to know how the crap they can make a car fly and people disappear! It drives me crazy thinkin about it!

After the show Colby and I got to have some alone time and we exchanged Valentines... He is the best husband and my best friend, I can honestly say that I could never ever get sick of being with him:) He always gets me the best gifts but best of all I look forward to his sweet cards or letters they always make me cry! ha ha maybe its my hormones but I just love him so much! thanks for making everyday with you special :)

21 weeks

SO here I am 21 weeks prego and I sure am feeling it.. literally! It is so cool that I can finally feel our baby boy kicking me and squirming around in there! It feels so weird and amazing at the same time! I was over at my moms the other day and my little brother was walking up the stairs and saw me and just burst out laughing:) I guess my belly is looking more and more prego! ha ha o-well I am FAT! what do you do?!

I found out that our baby boy is as long as a carrot now, which is crazy. What else is crazy is that I keep having strange dreams. I read that when your pregnant that alot of women have vivid dreams about clouds and rainbows and bunnies etc. But I am having dreams of lizards attacking me, snakes squishing me and falling through ice!! What do you think that says about me?! Ha ha being pregnant is a trip!

Ladies Lunch

So after months and months of us girls trying to get together to go to lunch for the holidays we finally got together... Better late than never (kind of like this post) ha ha but what can you do?!
I am just glad that everyone was able to make it ( well almost everyone) we were missing Megan but hopefully next time! I just want all my girls to know that I loved seeing them and catching up. It was a much needed girls lunch filled with good food and juicy gossip! ha ha... we tried not to but lets be honest thats kind of what ends up happening! We need to get together more often for sure :)

2009!!

This New Years was pretty fun. Colby got home from working out of town and we were both so tired but knowing that next year we were gonna have a little boy to take care of we decided to not be party poopers and drive to Wendover! We got out there and as you can imagine it was packed! It was really fun though we ran into a few people from High School and gambled of course we lost all of our money and had to go to the ATM! ha ha but having faith in my husband I knew that he would win it back for us!! He did not disappoint!! ha ha, we paid for our trip and walked away winners! Here is a funny story....We were playing Black Jack for a while and this other couple was sitting at the table with us. They were not happy campers and her husband seemed really mean. We had just got a new dealer and I think he was a little nervous. The husband had a 20 and had turned his cards over (so he was staying). the dealer for some reason hit him anyway making him have 29! The guy was like what the 'H' and got all mad about it. the dealer asked his wife if she wanted a card. She said that she did... Then he looked around and was like.. "you want this card?! "He had an accent and you could tell that he wanted her to say Yes so bad! She shook her head like NO WAY and so he had to call over the Pit boss to fix it! I think that he had been messing up all night! I felt bad for him but It was way funny. You prob had to be there to really appreciate the story but me and Colby could not stop laughing! It made our night. well that plus I love how the casinos hand out noise makers and New years hats and then they have balloons and confetti fall from the ceilings at midnight :) its pretty sweet, but then again I am easily entertained!

My New Years Goals this year are to get completely out of debt! No more credit cards. They are evil! Be a better church member for sure. Learn how to cook good meals. get together with my friends more! Surprise Colby with nice things! Be a good mom! Get my house completely decorated. Try to be more crafty (is that a word)?! Oh and win the lottery!
