CrAwLiNg and TEeTh

Here is our little monster doing the army crawl:) He is so stinkin fast now that you can barely catch him. Notice how the pictures start out very far away and how happy he is, but as he crawls faster and mommy moves back Kade starts to get pretty mad that he can't have the camera:) He is so stinkin funny and I am just loving watchin him conquer these milestones:) He is gonna be walking before I know it!

So Kade has finally got some teeth coming through... He is over 8 months old and we were starting to think that maybe he wasn't gonna get them (wouldn't that be awful)! Plus I actually had a nightmare that he got a full set of really sharp alligator teeth ONLY on the bottom! It was pretty scary:) ha ha! But here they are for the world to see! Kade hates to show em to us but we managed to get a pretty good look... only 2 teefies on the bottom! They are so stinkin cute:) My little baby is gettin SO Big, I am having a love/hate relationship with that idea:)

My VaLenTINeS

It was so fun this year to have 2 Valentines:) Kade and Colby!! Wahoo, I am one lucky girl to have these 2 cute boys in my life!! It was kind of weird but kind of fun to have Valentines Day on a Sunday, We played it low key this year with Kade. I made Colby breakfast in bed.... that's right, he got pink heart shaped pancakes to start the day off! Then we exchanged our gifts... colby got me some beautiful flowers, chocolates and a cute necklace that says LOVE on one charm and XOXO on the other. Plus my favorite part is that he always gets me the best cards and rights the sweetest things inside!! I just love him:) I got him some candy a CD and a gift certificate to get a massage because he is always so sore from working so hard for our family!! It was a much needed gift and I hope he gets to use it this weekend. Kade got some gifts from his grandparents and got to have his first sucker!! He was SHOCKED that we were actually letting him have it and was a little hesitant at first but after a few licks he seemed to really enjoy it! He is so dang cute and I love my little muffin top more than life!!

After Kade went to sleep I made us a nice dinner of crab legs, mashed potatoes and salad, and Valentines cookies!! It was great and hit the spot:) It was nice to relax and stay home and enjoy a nice dinner together:) I am so lucky to have Colby and Kade in my life and I have no idea how I ever got through life without them... they are my world!!

BEFORE AND AFTER

I have been searching for a high chair for Kade for a while and all the ones that I found in the stores I did not like... I finally found one to restore and cover and I think that It turned out pretty cute! Kade loves to sit in it and slap around on the table top:) He thinks he is so cool in it! Colby painted it (of course)! And I love it! Even more than that, I love that it cost 1/3 of what I would have spent on one:)

CaLi DaY 2

Our second day in Disneyland was so fun.. the weather was perfect and We got to ride a lot of rides with Kade. I was surprised at how many of the rides that he could actually go on. He just loved the colors and everything around him... he was in heaven staring at all the cool things and trying to make friends with every person that would look at him:) He is not a shy child and when people would look at him he would crack up to get there attention and if people weren't looking him he would just pull their hair:)

TOon ToWn was so much fun for Kade:)

We love Disneyland but they could do a lot better at having the characters out and about for the kids. I remember when I was little it seemed like they were everywhere, but we were lucky to see the few that we saw this time...Kade wasn't sure what to think about Mickey or Goofey but they seemed to like him and he didn't cry at the sight of them... so that was a plus!

I should have taken way more pics but, what can I do now? The parades at Disneyland and California Adventure were really cool! I loved them, the people were super cheesy but it is the happiest place on earth so I would have been mad if they weren't:) The firework show was so stinkin cute too:) I wish I would have video taped it! I can't wait to go back when Kade is older and can be way more excited!! We had so much fun!!

We were sure pooped after all the excitement but we loved every second of being gone with our family:) Thanks so much to Grandma Evelyn for taking us and planning such a great trip!

CaLi DaY 1

So our much anticipated trip to Disneyland came and went... we are so SAD! We had so much fun and it was so nice to go on vacation and get out of this crappy weather. I am ready for SPRING dang it!! The drive wasn't as bad as I thought it would be and Kade was actually pretty good in the car but by the time we actually got to Disneyland he had had it:) AS you can see from the great family photo in front of the park.... Kade was soooooooo mad! the sun was in his eyes and he was so mad and tired:( he fell asleep right after this picture was taken... then he woke up and was in Pirates of the Caribbean ride in a boat! ha ha, poor kid. Oh and I might have accidentally sprayed sun-screen in his eyes... oops!
After we played in Disneyland for a few hours we went back to the hotel and got ready to go to dinner at Medieval Times... it was so fun, I love that place for some reason, plus the people that work their take there jobs so serious and I find that hilarious:) ha ha, this night thought that he was so stinkin cool and he kept throwing out roses to girls in the audience but every time that he would throw one out he would kiss it all soft and seductively:) ha ha... I was dying he was such a nerd:) but it made for great entertainment:)
Kade was not sure what to think about the horses and the noise but he sure looked cute in his crown:)

2010!!

HaPpY NeW YeAr!!

This year we did NOT go to Wendover! ha ha. We have gone to Wendover for the past 3 yrs for New Years but now that we have our little bundle of joy we didn't feel right about ringing in the new year without him:) We ended up having a fun night though. We went to dinner at Joes Crab Shack with Chad and Carolyn and their kids, It sure hit the spot:) then we just went back the Chad and Carolyns and tried to play games. (key word is we tried). I also tried to put Kade down to bed so that we could play games but he was not having it!! He almost made it all the way to midnight but ended up finally falling asleep at 11:45!! He stayed asleep just long enough for us to have a New Years Kiss:) watch the ball drop and light of some sparklers!

It was a fun night! I can't believe that it is 2010!! I feel so stink old. I am also really bad at keeping my New Years resolutions so I didn't really bother even makin them!! ha ha. I know that is bad of me!
