It's A PaRTy!!

Kade turned 1 on the 31st! We wanted to make this day memorable fot Kade and it turned out Ok under the circumstances. We spent the entire weekend moving which made for an interesting time!! Kade was so confused and his whole world was turned upside down in a matter of days! I felt so bad, you should have seen the look on his face when he saw us taking apart his crib! He did not like it! ha ha. But the party turned out great and we are so thankful to have such great family to help us move and come celebrate with us! Not to mention spoil our little munchkin rotten!! Thanks so much to all those that came! We love you!
Kade-- Mom and dad love you to pieces, I remember the day that you were born and how excited we were to meet you! Dad wanted to make sure that he had the right outfit on and everything:) I couldn't wait to see what you would look like, and man you did not disappoint! From the moment I laid eyes on you I knew that I would do anything for you! Every day since you have made us so so happy! right now you are still stubborn and won't walk for us, you love to be held and you are obsessed with food! you have your own language and talk non stop! you love to give open mouthed kisses and I LOVE them:) so does dad!! The only time that you cry is when we tell you NO! Although it is Sad, I am not gonna lie it is kind of funny too!! Kade you are my bestest buddy and you make me so proud to be your mommy! hugs and kisses all day long!!

BirThDaY PiCs

These are Kade's 1st Birthday pictures! We had so much fun takin em! I wish I could have got him to smile a little better to show off his adorable teeth, I am so mad at the little stinker:) Doesn't he know how important these are to me?! But regardless he is the cutest... sweetest thing that I have ever seen! I didn't plan on letting Kade get that messy with his cake but once he got started I didn't have the heart to take it away:( I wish I would have had the video camera because he was loving it... he just kept making a mmmm, mmmm, mmmm, sound for the entire time that he ate it!! He was in heaven! ha ha! Thanks again to my cute sis for takin em!

May so Far...

2 Years... going STRONG!
Colby and I celebrated our 2 yr anniversary on the 15th! Everyone says that the first year is the hardest, but our first year of marriage was cake. We didn't have much to argue about at all; and all though this 2nd year has been amazing as well, we definitely have learned how to push each others buttons and argue a little better:) Marriage is the best thing and I love every day that I get to wake up to Colby and know that no matter what he is in it with me for the long haul! But being a working mom and having to juggle it all gets to me sometimes... I feel as though I am doing all my jobs half way sometimes and that has been hard! Although we have argued and disagreed more this year than last I have learned and am still learning that being right is not always what matters... that saying sorry goes along way and that hurtful digs at each other never get you anywhere:) I am so lucky to have Colby, he puts up with a lot from me! He is quick to forgive and does not hold a grudge. He is always pushing me to be the bigger person and do the right thing and I LOVE him for that! I know without a shadow of a doubt that he is my soul mate and that he is the only person that I want to spend forever with! Here's to 2 yrs the good the bad the ugly and for loving me through all of it!! I LOVE you Colby:)

Mothers Day

Thanks to this little munchkin... I am mom!!!

To be honest I never thought that I would LOVE being a mom as much as I do! I remember growing up and hearing my mom say things like, I can never have anything nice with you kids:) Can you leave me alone just long enough to go to the bathroom:) and all those things that I know every mom says! I remember thinking... WOW I am never having kids!! ha ha, at least for a long time!! I was way to selfish to care more about someone else! But then I met Colby and everyone was surprised when I put him above me:) And then Kade came along! My whole pregnancy I was scared at what was ahead of me, if I was gonna be a good mom etc. But now I have no idea how I ever went without Kade!! He makes me stronger, more motivated, more patient, more loving and makes me smile all day!! I love being a wife and a mom! This is truly what life is about!! I love my little family and I feel so blessed to be Kades mom!! HAPPY MOTHERS DAY to every mom. It is the hardest job but the job that makes life worth living!!

Hubby's B-Day

Colby's Birthday is the 7th of May and he turned 27 yrs old!! We celebrated by going out to eat At Joes Crab Shack and Colby enjoyed a great steamed pot of crab with all the fixins! Which I am sure was the best part of his Birthday! The food was great and Kade was amazing. He was so interested in the loud music, lights and people dancing around that he even let us eat or dinner:) After dinner our parents came over to the house to wish him a Happy Birthday. And then we stayed up watching Prison Break! We got an external hard drive and had a bunch of movies and TV shows put onto it and for Colbys Birthday I bought him the cord to hook it all up to the TV so that we could watch them! We are now addicted to watching Prison Break and watch episode after episode, we seriously can't stop! If you have not seen it you should... it is so intense ha ha!
On Saturday we took a break from Prison Break and had a night out and watched a movie in the theatre!! (That's right... The theatre) We have only been to one movie since Christmas so it was nice to go! Thanks to Evelyn for watching Kade for us!!
Happy Birthday to my lover! I love you so much and am so thankful for you! I love that I get to spend every Birthday and every day with you, and even though I am a pain in the butt sometimes I am grateful that you love me in spite of it all!! You are an amazing person and good at everything that you do (it's kind of annoying)! and in case i don't tell you enough you are the love of my life!! My whole world! love, love, love, love, love YOU!

Big Boy SeAT

We finally broke down and bought Kade a big boy seat:) He loves facing forward now and it's abput time that we bought him one since his cute, fat chub was pouring out of his infant seat! HA HA! Oh Kade you are the most handsomest boy in the whole wide world! We love you more and more every day... come on people, just look at that face!

All bandaged up from the stupid blood work!

Kade had a really high fever last week that would not go down no matter what we did. We took him to the dr and of course they take your money and do nothing but tell you to wait it out for a week to 1o days ( fun eh?) So after 7 days of a high fever I went and got blood work done... They think that Kade had a virus that just kicked his trash because his white blood cell count was way below what it should've been. They called me with the test results at 9:30 at night and wanted to see him because they were so worried. Of course I freaked out and have been on pins and needles since trying to figure out if it was in fact just a virus. My poor baby has had to have 2 antibiotic shots and his blood drawn 3 times. All of which I had to be a part of and actually hold him down. Watching my baby scream and cry and stare me in the eyes and wonder why I am allowing people to hurt him is the hardest thing in the world. It just breaks my heart to think about it. But even though I know it is for his own good, It still doesn't make me feel much better:( He is feeling better and actually playing and eating and all that good stuff, and it is nice to see! I missed my little monster running all over and making noise. All he did was sleep and want to be held. Although I didn't mind the cuddling:) Being a mom is the greatest, hardest, best thing that I have ever done and I wouldn't trade it for anything! Shout out to all the mommies out there that can relate!

Easter 2010

Kade's 1st Easter- He was a little confused!

Easter Sunday was a great day! Kade was a little weirded out but I think that he enjoyed what the Easter bunny brought him:) It was so nice to relax and watch conference after looking through our Easter baskets we definitely had a lot of amazing candy to much on while we watched it! After conference we went and saw my mom and Colby's mom for Eater, we ate a little food, hung out with family and of course Kade got some more treats from his grandparents!

MY baby is HOW OLD?...

I am in complete AWW that Kade is 10 months old tomorrow!! Holy crap where has the time gone? He is gonna be 1 yr old before I know it! I better start planning his party! ha ha! But seriously I know it sounds cliche' but it really does feel like just yesterday Colby and I were thinking about how weird it was going to be to have a baby. We were decorating his nursery and I was getting fatter and fatter by the second:) And now my baby is 10 months old! Kade is such a blessing and I want to cry when I think about how blessed I am to be his mom and be trusted in shaping his life:) he has soften me to the point that I can cry on demand for the love that I have for him ( and my hubby of course) Being a mommy is such a miracle and I love him more and more everyday! Kade can wave now and clap his hands and although he is still my chunky monkey... he has actually lost 2lbs because he can't keep still long enough to save his life:) He is such a stinker I can't even change his diaper anymore without him moving all over... makes for a nice picture when it's #2!! ha ha TMI?
