Scary Santa

My dad had a work Christmas party and wanted to take all the grand kids to see Santa and watch a little Christmas movie at the Gateway. I knew that Kade was gonna be soooo scared of Santa but we kept our fingers crossed and hoped for the best. As you can see it did not turn out so well. Luckily the picture was captured just before he started clawing at me and crying hysterically:) ha ha.. Oh the memories!

Pugs Anyone?!

SO our little Meatball had puppies again this year and they are so cute! We got 4 black ones this time and I have to say that they are our favorite! I am thinking about selling meatball and keeping a puppy!! ha ha:) But seriously they would make great Christmas presents... hint, hint!

Kade loves them and is gonna be so sad when they are all gone.

Family Vacation

Such cute BOYS!!

We headed out for a trip to Cali with our friends Jonny and Lindsay. We drove all the way to Primm to stay the night and let the boys have some gambling time of course:) Then early in the morning we were off to Disneyland! It was a lot hotter than we were expecting it to be wich made it very interesting for the clothes that we packed. In my defense who would have really thought that it would have been almost 100 degrees in November?! NOT ME! But it was so dang fun to get out of the cold and spend time together. I love Disneyland I wish that I could go back again already:)

The second part of our trip we went and bummed around LA. We went and saw the Kodak theature and walked around the walk of Fame. Colby had never seen it so it was pretty fun to see. Then we went and saw the Hollywood sign (of course). Then we ended the day by going to the Pier. It was pretty cool there and I wish we would have started the day out there at the beach cause it was so dang hot and Kade loved chasing and feeding all the seagulls. He would have been entertained all day long. I swear he liked the birds more that Disneyland!

It was a short trip but a good one non the less! But we had to come back to reality. When I got home I realized that we didn't get really and pics with jonny and lindsay and of course Madden together. I swear that I am the worst picture taker on vacations. (hard to believe but true).

And just a thought but does anyone else fight with there spouse ten times more on vacations or is it just me? ha ha!! Colby you know I love you:)

Halloween...

I got soooo sick the day before Halloween and so when it got here I was not quite ready:( We usually make treats, watch a scary movie and have our traditional soup and pumpkin bread bowls but the thought of soup after being sick made me want to get sick all over again. So we were kind of bumms!

Luckily before I got sick I was able to have my mom take some cute pics of Kade in his costume (since I didn't take a single pic on the actaul day). He was so stinkin cute in it and loved his costume, he thought that he was kitty (not a tiger) so he would meaow! But we taught him that a tiger grawls so he started to grawl and swipe his hand like he was gonna claw you:) He is gettin so BIG and so SMART! We just love him more than words:)

Update

So.. It's been a while since I last posted anything about our life but we have done a few fun things as a family so I thought that I should stop being lazy and document them:) We recently went to the Dinosaur Museum at Thanksgiving point, Kade was kind of scared of the skeletons but by the end he was having fun... he had fun getting down and dirty in the sand pit at the end, it is set up so that the kids can discover fossils in the sand pit which is pretty fun. They had paint brushes in there so that you could dust the sand off the fossils:) We had fun!

We had a chance to go to the Zoo earlier, We had wanted to take Kade and were so excited to show him all the cool animals, Colby hadn't been to the Zoo since he was little and I hadn't been since Braxton my little nephew was little so we were due to go... The Zoo is definitely not as cool as you remember it being were you were little:( They don't have polar bears anymore. lions rhinos etc. But we did get to see the baby elephant which was super cute! But other than that the Zoo is a place I will not be returning to for a few years!

Kade has had a lot of fun helping dad in the garage building Meatball a dog house and carrying around tools to help his dad! Its so stinking cute, he is definitely all boy! Colby helped him catch a praying mantis and Kade carried it all over with him, It was so cute. This boy sure loves his daddy and I am sure Colby can't wait to take him fishing and hunting when he is older:) But for now catching bugs will work.

The FAIR

We made our annual trip to the Fair this year as well, I love going and doing fun relaxing things like this with my cute family:) We got to see the seals, ate some good food; went down the big yellow slide (which Kade actually loved). Kade got a batman tattoo while we were there and he thought that he was pretty cool:) It was supposed to last 4 or 5 days but didn't last that long cause he kept licking it!! ha ha, he is always making us laugh! We also saw a lot of stinky farm animals and had a blast watching our little stinker freak out about them! Plus I was able to snap this cute pic of my two cute boys! I love them:)

We picked pumpkins are getting ready for Halloween here at the Christensen's!! Kade loves his pumpkin and wants to carry it around everywhere!

Kade just cracks me up!! He is so stinkin funny and is coming up with the weirdest things like putting two binkies in his mouth and showing me! He knows that he is funny and he knows how to use it to his advantage. Every time that he is in trouble he will try to make me laugh or give me a kiss!! Talk about manipulative... he can barely talk but that doesn't stop him from pointing his finger back at me and talking back in whatever language he thinks he is speaking:) ha ha! Although he is cute and funny, I am finding it hard to know what to do to make him take me serious.... What the crap can I do?

Anyways-- we still love him to pieces and here are some pics of his cute butt that I have to chase all over the house to get a diaper on him these days! What can we say he is a FREE spirit!

Living Planet aquarium

We took our cute little munchkin to the aquarium in Sandy a couple of weeks ago and boy O boy did he love it:) I am not gonna lie.... Colby and I thought that it was pretty fun too! It made us want to buy a big salt water fish tank for our house. They had these really cool mini sea horses that were transparent... no kidding they were pretty sweet! But the penguins were by far the coolest thing EVER! I totally wanted to take one home with me:)

Having Kade makes everything so much fun again! I love watching him to discover new things and see things for the first time!! He is our world and I can't get enough:) I am loving staying home with him and getting to watch him to this all day! He makes me laugh so hard! WE love you buddy!

Staying Home

So my DREAM has finally come true... I am now a stay at home mom!!! I still cant believe it. I had my last day at work on June 30th. I still think that I am just on a long break and I am having a hard time finding a new schedule for me and Kadester. But I am loving every second of it! Kade is down for a nap and I finally feel like blogging again. I feel so blessed to be able to be home with my baby now and I am so lucky to have the husband that I do! He works so hard and has definitely kicked it into high gear the past few weeks to make sure that we are takin care of! working 12 hr days and still coming home Happy! just love him so much! Thought I should share:)

Cabin

We took a little trip to a cabin for the weekend, with Colby's Fam. It was fun to get away and spend time together and relax somewhat (as much as you can with a 1 yr old). The kids had a blast shooting guns and playing games outside. As well as the adults, we had some serious competitive games of horse shoes and such:) But the best part of all was that the cabin had an entertainment system that was to die for... we had our own personal movie theatre in the cabin with a huge screen that came down from the ceiling to watch movies on, we didn't waste it either watching about 3 or 4 movies a day!! ha ha!

All in all it was a great trip, thanks Grandpa Gary for plannin it for us:)

Kade gets his Hair Did!

Over the weekend Kade went from THIS....

He looks so old that I cannot even stand it!! My baby is a full blown toddler:) ha ha! His little haircut is so stinkin cute and he was such a good boy getting it done! He went down for a nap not long after getting his hair cut done and when I went to get him out of his crib after his nap I hardly recognized him at all!! ha ha, I guess it's gonna take some getting used to....
I love my little toddler and the HUGE personality that he is getting. I mean really... could he get any cuter?! I think NOT!!

WenDovEr

Colby called me up at work on Thurs and told me that he had planned a much needed date night for the 2 of us! I am always a little crazy when it comes to leaving Kade:( This would be the first night in his whole life that I wouldn't be there to tuck him into bed....but it was Father's Day weekend and I knew that we would have a good time so off we went! Colby even got us tickets to see Clay Walker in concert!! Who by the way is not as shy as I thought he was:) He was grinding his little butt all over the place! ha ha:) He sounded really good in concert too. Plus Colby won us $130.00!! playing the royal match in black jack! Wahoo, that is always a plus:) It seemed to be a perfect night until we were on our way home.....dun dun dun... We had just gassed up at the gas station and were headed onto the freeway when I got pulled over!! That's right... and of course I get a ticket (cause I NEVER get out of em) But it wasn't just a ticket it was a misdemeanor for entering into a do not enter!! What the freak... I didn't even see the stupid sign nor do I understand why it was even there!! I am fighting that crap... so we will be back out to Wendover in 30 days to see the judge!! What a TRIP!! ha ha


Regardless it was still a fun trip and it was nice to hold hands and just be a couple again!! We need more dates:) LOve you hubby!!

The BEST DADDY!!

Colby is the best dad and husband so celebrating Father's Day was well deserved! I love, love, love to watch Colby and Kade together, it is the best! Kade just loves his daddy even when he teases him until he cries:) ha ha! He can also get him laughing uncontrollably! He is not afraid to do the weirdest things to make Kade laugh and does them over and over for him to hear him laugh again and again! It is the best sound to hear them playing and laughing as I get ready and I just can't get enough of either of them!

Thanks so much Colby for being the PERFECT guy for me and the best daddy in the world for Kade! You work so hard for our family and are always there to make us laugh every single day! We are so stinkin lucky! You definitely deserve a day all your own! HAPPY FATHER'S

FIESTA FUN!!

Colby's Fam decided to get tickets to Tuacahn to see Tarzan. We wanted to go but taking Kade was not possible so we decided to head down to St George anyway. Our plan was to get out of this crazy winter weather that we are having in JUNE :( and get some sun. But that didn't seem to work out either... even St George was gloomy. Although that part did suck we still managed to have some fun.

We got down to St George and got to eat dinner at Brick Oven. It was good and fun to hang out with all the grown ups in the fam (plus Kade)! Then they all went off to Tarzan and we went to Fiesta FUN!! ha ha! Kade was in heaven when we got there and was so excited with all the games and lights. Colby was just as excited:) Kade was able to ride the little cars there and thought that he was pretty cool. When the guy told us they were slow... he wasn't kidding:) They moved like a foot a minute!! ha ha, but Kade had fun! We stayed and played games for a couple of hrs and got some prizes with out tickets. It was a little after 10 by the time we got to our hotel and I thought for sure that Kade would crash. He usually goes to bed at like 8:30! Boy were we in for a surprise!!! We didn't bring Kade a play pen to sleep in and he thought that the hotel beds were the funnest things he had ever seen! He rolled around on the bed laughing and pulling my hair, picking my nose etc. for hours! We finally decided to take a drive and see if he would fall asleep. He did but when we went to get him out of the car it started raining so of course he woke up and laughed about that! ha ha, it's funny now but at the time...... not so funny:) Then we went for round 2 with the bed rolling:) finally about 12:30 or so Kade gave in and went to sleep!! NOTE TO SELF!! I will never go out of town without a play pen!! ha ha!

BuiLd A BeaR

So since we were moving during Kade's Birthday week:) we weren't able to go out and do some of things that we wanted to for his first B-day, so now that things are settled down a bit we were able to take him to build a bear a get him his cuddle buddy!! I think that he liked it better spreading out his Birthday... ha ha! Maybe we are on to something here!

Kade really liked getting his little bear and we had fun watching him get excited and give his bear kisses:) But as soon as he saw the computers his bear was not so cool! ha ha... not to fret, once we got home he enjoyed the bear again! I think this is a tradition that I will do with all my kids. Every kid needs a stuffed bear to cuddle with at night, I just know that Kade will be takin this bear to college!! ha ha!

He's GoInG for iT!

Kade got this great new toy that helps him walk for his birthday. It only took him a second to realize what is was for and he was OFF! Not even walking full on RUNNING throughout the house! He was so excited about it and was so proud of himself:) he just kept screaming and laughing!! It was hilarious to watch! He got pretty upset about it when he would get it stuck though! He is not very patient (like his mom)!

It's these little moments that are the very best!! I love watching Colby and Kade interact and Kade just soaks it all in... I hope he knows how loved he Is...
