Update

So.. It's been a while since I last posted anything about our life but we have done a few fun things as a family so I thought that I should stop being lazy and document them:) We recently went to the Dinosaur Museum at Thanksgiving point, Kade was kind of scared of the skeletons but by the end he was having fun... he had fun getting down and dirty in the sand pit at the end, it is set up so that the kids can discover fossils in the sand pit which is pretty fun. They had paint brushes in there so that you could dust the sand off the fossils:) We had fun!

We had a chance to go to the Zoo earlier, We had wanted to take Kade and were so excited to show him all the cool animals, Colby hadn't been to the Zoo since he was little and I hadn't been since Braxton my little nephew was little so we were due to go... The Zoo is definitely not as cool as you remember it being were you were little:( They don't have polar bears anymore. lions rhinos etc. But we did get to see the baby elephant which was super cute! But other than that the Zoo is a place I will not be returning to for a few years!

Kade has had a lot of fun helping dad in the garage building Meatball a dog house and carrying around tools to help his dad! Its so stinking cute, he is definitely all boy! Colby helped him catch a praying mantis and Kade carried it all over with him, It was so cute. This boy sure loves his daddy and I am sure Colby can't wait to take him fishing and hunting when he is older:) But for now catching bugs will work.

The FAIR

We made our annual trip to the Fair this year as well, I love going and doing fun relaxing things like this with my cute family:) We got to see the seals, ate some good food; went down the big yellow slide (which Kade actually loved). Kade got a batman tattoo while we were there and he thought that he was pretty cool:) It was supposed to last 4 or 5 days but didn't last that long cause he kept licking it!! ha ha, he is always making us laugh! We also saw a lot of stinky farm animals and had a blast watching our little stinker freak out about them! Plus I was able to snap this cute pic of my two cute boys! I love them:)

We picked pumpkins are getting ready for Halloween here at the Christensen's!! Kade loves his pumpkin and wants to carry it around everywhere!

Kade just cracks me up!! He is so stinkin funny and is coming up with the weirdest things like putting two binkies in his mouth and showing me! He knows that he is funny and he knows how to use it to his advantage. Every time that he is in trouble he will try to make me laugh or give me a kiss!! Talk about manipulative... he can barely talk but that doesn't stop him from pointing his finger back at me and talking back in whatever language he thinks he is speaking:) ha ha! Although he is cute and funny, I am finding it hard to know what to do to make him take me serious.... What the crap can I do?

Anyways-- we still love him to pieces and here are some pics of his cute butt that I have to chase all over the house to get a diaper on him these days! What can we say he is a FREE spirit!

Living Planet aquarium

We took our cute little munchkin to the aquarium in Sandy a couple of weeks ago and boy O boy did he love it:) I am not gonna lie.... Colby and I thought that it was pretty fun too! It made us want to buy a big salt water fish tank for our house. They had these really cool mini sea horses that were transparent... no kidding they were pretty sweet! But the penguins were by far the coolest thing EVER! I totally wanted to take one home with me:)

Having Kade makes everything so much fun again! I love watching him to discover new things and see things for the first time!! He is our world and I can't get enough:) I am loving staying home with him and getting to watch him to this all day! He makes me laugh so hard! WE love you buddy!

Staying Home

So my DREAM has finally come true... I am now a stay at home mom!!! I still cant believe it. I had my last day at work on June 30th. I still think that I am just on a long break and I am having a hard time finding a new schedule for me and Kadester. But I am loving every second of it! Kade is down for a nap and I finally feel like blogging again. I feel so blessed to be able to be home with my baby now and I am so lucky to have the husband that I do! He works so hard and has definitely kicked it into high gear the past few weeks to make sure that we are takin care of! working 12 hr days and still coming home Happy! just love him so much! Thought I should share:)

Cabin

We took a little trip to a cabin for the weekend, with Colby's Fam. It was fun to get away and spend time together and relax somewhat (as much as you can with a 1 yr old). The kids had a blast shooting guns and playing games outside. As well as the adults, we had some serious competitive games of horse shoes and such:) But the best part of all was that the cabin had an entertainment system that was to die for... we had our own personal movie theatre in the cabin with a huge screen that came down from the ceiling to watch movies on, we didn't waste it either watching about 3 or 4 movies a day!! ha ha!

All in all it was a great trip, thanks Grandpa Gary for plannin it for us:)

Kade gets his Hair Did!

Over the weekend Kade went from THIS....


To THIS.....
He looks so old that I cannot even stand it!! My baby is a full blown toddler:) ha ha! His little haircut is so stinkin cute and he was such a good boy getting it done! He went down for a nap not long after getting his hair cut done and when I went to get him out of his crib after his nap I hardly recognized him at all!! ha ha, I guess it's gonna take some getting used to....
I love my little toddler and the HUGE personality that he is getting. I mean really... could he get any cuter?! I think NOT!!

WenDovEr

Colby called me up at work on Thurs and told me that he had planned a much needed date night for the 2 of us! I am always a little crazy when it comes to leaving Kade:( This would be the first night in his whole life that I wouldn't be there to tuck him into bed....but it was Father's Day weekend and I knew that we would have a good time so off we went! Colby even got us tickets to see Clay Walker in concert!! Who by the way is not as shy as I thought he was:) He was grinding his little butt all over the place! ha ha:) He sounded really good in concert too. Plus Colby won us $130.00!! playing the royal match in black jack! Wahoo, that is always a plus:) It seemed to be a perfect night until we were on our way home.....dun dun dun... We had just gassed up at the gas station and were headed onto the freeway when I got pulled over!! That's right... and of course I get a ticket (cause I NEVER get out of em) But it wasn't just a ticket it was a misdemeanor for entering into a do not enter!! What the freak... I didn't even see the stupid sign nor do I understand why it was even there!! I am fighting that crap... so we will be back out to Wendover in 30 days to see the judge!! What a TRIP!! ha ha


Regardless it was still a fun trip and it was nice to hold hands and just be a couple again!! We need more dates:) LOve you hubby!!
